Kevin Bowen notes that Colts CB Rock Ya-Sin is questionable for Week 5 with a hip injury, so Taylor adds some depth to their defensive backfield.
Taylor, 22, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas back in May. He was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and cut with a settlement after a week.
Indianapolis re-signed him to their practice squad once he passed through waivers unclaimed.
During his two-year college career, Taylor recorded 56 total tackles, one tackle for loss, three interceptions, five pass defenses, two forced fumbles and scored one defensive touchdown.
