Colts Re-Sign QB Stephen Morris To Practice Squad, Cut DT Kelcy Quarles

The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday that they’ve re-signed QB Stephen Morris to their practice squad and released DT Kelcy Quarles from the unit.

The Colts’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DL Kristjan Sokoli
  2. TE Mike Miller (Injured)
  3. LB Deiontrez Mount
  4. WR Marcus Leak
  5. LB Luke Rhodes
  6. OT Jeremy Vujnovich
  7. QB Stephen Morris
  8. DB Tevin Mitchel
  9. WR Tevaun Smith
  10. G Adam Redmond
  11. WR Devin Street

Morris, 24, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as a priority undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to the  Jaguars’ practice squad.

The Eagles would later claim him off of waivers after he was once again unable to make the cut coming out of the preseason. After spending much of the year on the practice squad, the Colts later added him to their active roster towards the end of the year.

Indianapolis later waived Morris to make room for CB Rashaan Melvin but re-signed him to their practice squad just a day later. The Colts waived him on Thursday.

Morris has yet to appear in an NFL game.
