The Colts announced Tuesday they’ve signed DT Chunky Clements and waived DT Johnny Robinson in a corresponding move.
Clements, 24, originally signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois last year. Minnesota cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit and he later signed on to the Texans’ practice squad.
Houston eventually promoted Clements to their active roster before waiving him and re-signing him to their taxi squad. Unfortunately, the Texans waived Clements in March 2018.
The Rams signed Clements in May, but waived him at the end of August during final roster cuts.
In 2017, Clements appeared in two games for the Texans and recorded two tackles and a half sack.
During his four-year college career, Clements recorded 99 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks, three forced fumbles, a recovery and five pass defenses over the course of 37 games.
