The Colts announced Wednesday they’ve signed RB Aca’Cedric Ware to the roster.
Indianapolis placed WR Steve Ishmael on injured reserve to create space for Ware.
This is Ware’s second stint with the Colts after he was signed for a few days in July.
Ishmael, 24, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Syracuse in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was cut loose coming out of the preseason.
Since then, Ishmael has been on and off of the Colts’ practice squad. He re-signed with the team on a futures deal for the 2019 season.
During his four-year college career at Syracuse, Ishmael caught 219 passes for 2,891 yards receiving and 18 touchdowns over the course of 44 games.
