The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they have signed RB Michael Hill and placed OL Hugh Thornton on season-ending injured reserve.
Hill, 25, signed on with the San Diego Chagers as undrafted free agent out of Missouri Western State back in April of 2013. He has played for the Packers, Buccaneers, and Colts before he signed to the Redskins’ practice squad last month.
Hill hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he ran for 23 yards on nine carries and caught two passes for 23 yards receiving.
Thornton, 23, was a former third-round pick of the Colts during the 2013 NFL Draft. He appeared in 10 games this season, but recorded just a single tackle.
