According to Howard Balzer, the Colts brought in six free agents for tryouts in recent days including:
- LB Tre’ Crawford
- DE Jamell Garcia-Williams
- CB Quenton Meeks
- CB Jackson Porter
- S Jonathan Owens
- OT Tyree St. Louis
The Colts elected to sign St. Louis to the practice squad.
Meeks, 22, signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in May. He was among the team’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason and signed to their practice squad once passing through waivers unclaimed.
Jacksonville promoted Meeks to the active roster in October. He was waived coming out of the preseason this year.
During his three-year college career, Meeks recorded 115 total tackles, two tackles for loss, seven interceptions, 17 pass defenses, and scored two defensive touchdowns.
