The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve placed seven players on waivers including RB Matt Jones.
The full list of roster cuts includes:
- LB Jermaine Grace
- RB Matt Jones
- WR Justice Liggins
- NT Joey Mbu
- DE Arthur Miley
- LB Darnell Sankey
- DT Johnathan Calvin (injured)
Should Calvin clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list.
Jones, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Redskins back in 2015. The Colts claimed Jones off of waivers from the Redskins, as they cut their roster down to 53 players coming out of the preseason.
Jones was on and off of their roster last season.
In 2017, Jones appeared in five games and rushed for 14 yards on five carries (2.8 YPC) and no touchdowns.
