The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve placed four players on waivers Monday including: TE Cameron Clear, LS Forrest Hill, C/G Khaled Holmes and T Mitchell Van Dyk.
Holmes was clearly in danger of losing his roster spot after the Colts used their first-round pick on Alabama C Ryan Kelly a few days ago.
Holmes, 26, was taken in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL draft. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2.58 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.
In 2015, Holmes appeared in nine games for the Colts and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 46 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
