According to Adam Caplan, the Colts brought in free agent RB Zac Brooks for a workout on Tuesday.
- Aaron Wilson adds that the Colts also worked out WR Torrence Allen, CB Jamell Fleming, LB Luke Rhodes, OL Kristian Sokuli, and RB Brandon Wegher.
Brooks, 22, wound up being selected with the No. 247 overall pick by the Seahawks back in May. He signed a four-year, $2.4 million rookie and stands to make a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.
Unfortunately, Brooks was among one of the Seahawks roster cuts as they got down to 75 players.
During his college career at Clemson, Brooks ran for 607 yards on 116 carries (5.2 YPC) to go along with 17 receptions for 197 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns.
Sokoli, 24, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL Draft by the Seahawks. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,370,484 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 base salary for the 2016 season when he was recently cut loose.
In 2015, Sokoli was limited to appearing in one game for the Seahawks.
