Per Michael Gehlken, the Cowboys have designated LB Leighton Vander Esch, CB Anthony Brown, OL Cam Erving and WR Ventell Bryant to return from injured reserve.
The four will begin practicing and the Cowboys have 21 days to activate them to the roster.
Vander Esch worked on a side field as he heals from a broken collarbone. Brown had a rib injury, while Bryant and Erving are each coming off knee injuries.
Vander Esch, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2018. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $11.8 million contract that included a $6.7 million signing bonus.
The Cowboys will have a fifth-year option to pick up on Vander Esch for the 2022 season.
In 2019, Vander Esch appeared in nine games for the Cowboys and recorded 72 tackles, a half sack, a forced fumble and three pass defenses.
