Cowboys veteran LB Sean Lee says he’s exploring his options right now to continue his NFL career.
“I’m waiting to kind of explore what some of my options are,” Lee said, via Mike Fisher of SI.com.
When asked about the possibility of retirement or taking a coaching job, Lee said: “I have not explored that yet. I’m focusing on playing as of now.”
Lee did, however, make it clear that he loves playing for the Cowboys and is hoping to be back in Dallas.
“I love it in Dallas and I love the Cowboys,” Lee said. “I hope it works out, for sure.”
Lee, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2010. He played out the final year of his seven-year, $42.63 million that included $16.1 million guaranteed.
Lee is now in position to test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2019, Lee appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 86 tackles, one sack, an interception, and four passes defended.
