Cowboys Likely To Trade Or Release CB Orlando Scandrick

Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones told reporters on Tuesday that veteranย CB Orlando Scandrick will likely be cut or traded this offseason, per Clarence Hill.

Scandrick was reportedly available for trade last year and Hill mentioned specifically that the Cowboysย attempted to deal him to the Saints in return for S Kenny Vaccaro during last year’s draft.

Hill adds that theย Rams could also be an intriguing landing spot if they don’t re-sign their CB Nickell Robey-Coleman.

Scandrick, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He is in the fourth year of his five-year, $20 million contractย and set to make base salaries of $3 million and $4 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2017, Scandrick recorded 38 tackles, no interceptions and three pass defenses for the Cowboys over the course of 11 games before he was placed on injured reserve.

We’ll have more regarding Scandrick as the news is available.
