Cowboys Could Make CB Orlando Scandrick Available For Trade Again In 2018?

Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram believes the Cowboys could make CB Orlando Scandrickย available for trade again this offseason now that their younger cornerbacks have begun to make some progress.

Beyond that,ย Hill points out that Scandrick has missed past three games with fractured bones in his back and costs more than some of their other cornerbacks over the next two years.

That’s not to sayย Scandrick’s salary is prohibitive, but it’s possible they could at least see what’s out there for him on the trade market.

Interestingly enough, Hillย reports that the Cowboys attempted to trade Scandrick to the Saints in return for S Kenny Vaccaro during this year’s draft.

Scandrick, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He is in the third year of his five-year, $20 million contractย and set to make a base salary of $3 million for the 2017 season.

Scandrick suffered a season-ending knee injury back in 2015 and was placed on injured reserve.

This season, Scandrick has recorded 38 tackles, no interceptions and three pass defenses for the Cowboys over the course of 11 games.

We’ll have more regarding Scandrick’s future with the Cowboys as the news is available.
