Adam Schefter reports that the Cowboys interviewed former Seahawks DC Kris Richard for an undisclosed coaching position on Sunday.

The Seahawks officially fired Richard as their defensive coordinator last week and replaced him with Ken Norton Jr.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll reportedly felt that Richard would benefit from experiencing something new and made the decision to move in a new direction.

Richard, 38, began his coaching career with the Seahawks back in 2008 as a graduate assistant. He worked his way up to defensive in 2015 and spent the past three seasons in charge of their defense.

In 2017, the Seahawks’ defense ranked No. 11 in yards allowed, No. 13 in points allowed, No. 19 in rushing yards allowed and No. 6 in passing yards allowed.

We’ll have more regarding Richard and the Cowboys as the news is available.
