The Dallas Cowboys officially placed G Connor Williams on injured reserve Monday.
This is just a formality, given that Williams suffered a season-ending ACL tear last week. Dallas is expected to turn to Xavier Su’a-Filo in place of Williams from here on.
Williams, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2018. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $5,488,996 contract with the Cowboys that includes a $2,071,996 signing bonus.
In 2019, Williams appeared in 11 games for the Cowboys and making 11 starts at left guard.
