Cowboys Place LB Rolando McClain & DE Randy Gregory On Did Not Report List

The Dallas Cowboys have placed LB Rolando McClain and DE Randy Gregory on the reserve/did not report list, according to Todd Archer.

  • The Cowboys also placed LB Damien Wilson on the active/PUP list.

By placing these two on the did not report list, the Cowboys will have two open roster spots to add players.

McClain was a no-show for the team’s recent charter and there has been a lot of speculation about his future with the team.

Gregory was recently suspended again for violation the NFL’s substance abuse policy and is likely receive “at least” a 10-game ban.  The possibility also exists that he may never play in the NFL again.

McClain, 27, is a former first-round pick of the Raiders back in 2010. He spent three years in Oakland before taking a year off and later signing with the Ravens.

Baltimore traded McClain to the Cowboys in 2014, and Dallas elected to bring him back on a one-year, $5 million contract back in March.

In 2015, McClain recorded 80 tackles, two sacks, an interception returned for a touchdown, and three pass defense.

Gregory, 23, is in the second year of his four-year, $3.814 million contract that includes $1.404 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

Gregory received a four-game suspension back in February for a violation of the NFL substance-abuse policy. He failed four drug tests, per the NFL’s drug policy with the first violation coming at the combine.

In 2015, Gregory appeared in 12 games for the Cowboys and recorded 11 tackles and no sacks.
