According to Michael Gehlken, the Cowboys have promoted CB Donovan Olumba from their practice squad to the active roster and waived S Josh Jones to make room for him.
Olumba, 24, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State back in May of last year. He was among their final roster cuts coming out of the 2018 preseason and added to their practice squad.
Dallas re-signed him to a futures contract and signed him to their taxi squad once again in September.
During his college career, Olumba appeared in 30 games and recorded 63 total tackles, 25 pass defenses, two fumble recoveries, six interceptions, and scored two defensive touchdowns, to go along with 13 punt returns for 143 yards and one touchdown.
