The Dallas Cowboys have announced that the release ofย DE Michael Sam from their practice squad on Tuesday.
- The Cowboys signed LBย Troy Davis and DT Ken Bishopย to theirย practice squad.
Sam, 24, was taken in the seventh round by the St. Louis Rams, but he was unfortunately unable to make the final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason.
He found limited interest as teams began filling out their practice squads, so we’ll have to see if anyone signs him in the coming weeks.
Sam recorded three sacks during the preseason, and said that he’s confident he can play in the NFL.ย During his four years at Missouri, Sam recorded 111 tackles, 32.5 sacks, two interceptions, and five forced fumbles.
