The Dallas Cowboys officially signed six players to futures contracts for the 2020 season on Monday.
The full list includes:
- RB Jordan Chunn
- C Marcus Henry
- TE Cole Hikutini
- TE Tevin Jones
- DB D.J. White
- DE Daniel Wise
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
White, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.52 million contract when the Chiefs waived him during the 2017 season.
White wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Colts, but was once again cut loose at the start of the 2018 season. He had a brief stint on the Colts’ practice squad before joining the Redskins this summer.
He was waived coming out of the preseason and has spent time with the Eagles and Falcons this year before catching on with the Cowboys in October.
For his career, White has appeared in 13 games for the Colts and Chiefs and recorded 14 tackles, one interception and three pass defenses.
