The Dallas Cowboys brought in six players for workouts on Monday including S Ryan Murphy, per Jon Machota.
The full list of players who tried out for the Cowboys includes:
- WR Darren Carrington
- OL Jacob Alsadek
- OL Daronte Bouldin
- S Dominick Sanders
- S Ryan Murphy
- S Deron Washington
Of this group, the Cowboys signed Alsadek to a contract.
Murphy, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2015. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before he was waived at the start of the season and later signed to the Broncos’ practice squad.
After a few years in Denver, Murphy joined the Giants towards the end of the 2016 season. He returned to the Giants last year on a futures deal and was on and off of their roster. New York elected to cut him loose following this year’s draft.
In 2017, Murphy appeared in three games for the Giants and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
During his four-year college career at Oregon State, Murphy recorded 235 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery, five interceptions and 11 pass defenses.
