Field Yates of ESPN reports thatย Cowboys WR Terrance Williams has been suspended for the next three weeks of the NFL seasonย for violating the NFLโs Substance Abuse Policy.
Williams was placed on injured reserve a few weeks ago.
Williams, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and made aย base salary of $1.686 million for the 2016 season before signing aย four-year, $17 million contract that included $9.5 million guaranteed.
Williams stands to make baseย salaries ofย $3.5 million over the next two years of the agreement.
In 2018, Williams has appeared in two games for the Cowboys and caught two passes for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
