FOXSports.com reports that The Dallas Cowboys have rejected the advances of four teams concerning a trade for disgruntled cornerback Mike Jenkins, citing a team source.
Two of those four teams are the Detroit Lions and Indianapolis Colts, who have been linked with making a move for Jenkins. At this rate, Jenkins will play out his contract year in Dallas and depart next offseason as a free agent.
That means that the Cowboys will get nothing in return, whereas they could if they trade him away this year, but Jones has publicly insisted that he has no intention of trading Jenkins, who is expected to be the No.3 CB on the team’s depth chart behind new additions Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne.
