Cameron Wolfe spoke with free agent CBย Kayvon Webster, who mentioned that his visit with the Rams is “going well.”
According to Wolfe, there’s a “decent chance” Webster ends up reuniting with his former DC Wade Phillips and takes on a larger roleย with the Rams.
All indications have been that the Rams are a serious suitor for Webster and he is likely to end up in Los Angeles, so it won’t come as a big surprise if they’re able to get a deal worked out in the near future.
Troy Renck previously mentioned that some of Webster’s teammates believe he could be a starter for some team and it’s possible that the Rams are willing to give him that shot.
Webster, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He has played out his four- year, $2,745,800 contract and is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2016, Webster appeared in 13 games for the Broncos and recorded eight tackles, a pass defense and no interceptions while being a large contributor on special teams.
