Derrick Mason’s Time In New York Coming To An End?

Jets WR Derrick Mason only saw the field for 5 plays during Sunday’s game against the Patriots as the team went with Jeremy Kerley for the majority of their three-wide sets.

Jet head coach Rex Ryan said that he wanted to give Kerley more playing time but ESPN New York‘s Rich Cimini reports that the decision had something to do with some critical post-game comments that Mason made last week. Cimini adds that Mason could be let go at some point.

Although New York played better in week 5 , they still find themselves in tough position as their currently sitting two games back of both the Bills and Patriots. Obviously there’s still time to turn things around but the teams passing attack has to improve in the coming weeks if they plan on taking the pressure of their running game.
