Dolphins Activate S T.J. McDonald From Suspension

The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that they’ve officially activated S T.J. McDonald off the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list and placed RT Ja’Wuan James on injured reserve.

McDonald has finished serving his eight-game suspension.

McDonald, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2013. He played out the final year of his four-year, $2.926 million rookie contract before signing a one-year, $1.34 million contract with the Dolphins this offseason.

Interestingly enough, the Dolphins elected to sign McDonald to a four-year, $24 million extension that includes $10 million at the start of the season, despite the fact that he was suspended for the first half of the season.

In 2016, McDonald appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 64 tackles, one sack, two interceptions and six pass defenses.
