The Miami Dolphins announced Thursday that they’veย activated rookie CB Xavien Howard from the active/PUP list.

Howard is recovering from surgery to repair minor damage to one of hisย knees.
Howard, 22, was taken with the No. 38 overall pickย by the Dolphins. Miami actually traded up with the Ravens in round two to get Howard, which cost them the No. 107 pick. The Dophinsย clearly had to bolster their depth at cornerback, and gives them a young prospectย to develop in the coming years.
According toย OverTheCap.com, Howardย receives aย four-year contract worth $6,128,038 to go along with a signing bonus of $2,656,756.
During his collegeย career at Baylor, Howardย recorded 98 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, 10 INTs, and 23 pass deflections.
