Dolphins Sign WR Jakeem Grant To Four-Year Extension Worth Up To $24M

Update:

Ian Rapoport reports that the Dolphins and WR Jakeem Grant have officially reached an agreement on a four-year extension worth up to $24 million.

Adam Beasley reports that the Dolphins are close to signing WR Jakeem Grant to a four-year extension through the 2023 season.

Grant, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2016. He’s was entering the final year of his four-year, $2.48 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $720,000 this season.

He landed on the team’s injured reserve last season after sustaining an Achilles injury, so Miami was clearly comfortable enough with his recovery to re-sign him to a long-term extension.

In 2018, Grant appeared in 10 games for the Dolphins and caught 21 passes for 268 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also totaled 763 kick and punt return yards to go along with two touchdowns.
