Dolphins Re-Signing OL Sam Young

Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Dolphins are re-signing OL Sam Young to a one-year contract on Friday.

Miami was reportedly in talks with Young’s agent about a return since free agency opened last week, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Young, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2010. He lasted just one year with Dallas before being claimed off of waivers by the Bills.

The Jaguars later claimed Young off of waivers from the Bills during the 2013 season before bringing him back on a two-year contract. Young signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins back in 2015 before agreeing to a one-year extension towards the end of the 2015 season.

In 2017, Young appeared in 10 games for the Dolphins and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 48 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
