Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Dolphins are releasing WRs Chester Rogers and Ricardo Louis on Tuesday.
Rogers, 26, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Grambling State back in May of 2016. He finished his three-year contract before returning to the Colts on a one-year, restricted tender last offseason.
The Dolphins signed Rogers to a one-year deal a few weeks ago.
In 2019, Rogers appeared in 11 games for the Colts and caught 16 passes for 179 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Louis, 26, was a fourth-round pick by the Browns out of Auburn in 2016. He was entering the final year of his four-year rookie contract with Cleveland when they elected to cut him loose in April of last year.
He’s missed the last two seasons because of a neck injury suffered late in 2017. Louis signed a one-year, $645,000 deal with the Dolphins shortly after being released by Cleveland.
Miami re-signed Louis to a one-year deal this past February before cutting him loose in July. He returned to the Dolphins a few weeks ago.
In 2017, Louis appeared in 16 games for the Browns, catching 27 passes for 357 yards (13.2 YPC) and no touchdowns.
