Dolphins Signing DT Robert Thomas Off Patriots’ Practice Squad

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are signing DT Robert Thomas off of the Patriots’ practice squad on Tuesday.

Miami is in need of interior defensive line help, as DT Ndamukong Suh is the only healthy defensive tackle for the Dolphins.

Thomas, 24, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in May of last year. He was one and off of the team’s practice squad during his rookie season before later signing a future/reserve contract with Washington.

However, Thomas was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Seahawks practice squad. He lasted just a few months in Seattle before later catching on with the Patriots.

Thomas has yet to appear in an NFL game.
