The Philadelphia Eagles officially placed DT Destiny Vaeao on injured reserve after he passed through waivers unclaimed on Wednesday.
Vaeao, 24, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State back in 2016. He is in the final year of a three-year, $1.62 million contract and set to earn a base salary of $630,000 this season.
The Eagles waived Vaeao with an injury designation on Tuesday to make room for CB Dexter McDougle.
In 2018, Vaeao has appeared in six games for the Eagles and recorded two total tackles and one sack.
