The Eagles placed DT Mike Patterson on the non-football injury/illness list, which will effectively end the lineman’s season, according to Pro Football Talk.
Patterson was diagnosed with viral pneumonia last week, according to the report, and was unable to get back on the practice field. In turn, the Eagles will now duck a portion of his remaining salary.
The Eagles will now be able to get Fletcher Cox more time on the field, considering the youth movement that the team has committed to beginning along the defensive line.
