Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Eagles continue to explore various receiver options including Steelers free agent Markus Wheaton.
Wheaton, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Steelers back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,811,376 contract and stands to make a base salary of $695,000 for the 2016 season.
Wheaton is an unrestricted free agent.
In 2016, Wheaton appeared three games for the Steelers and caught four passes for 51 yards receiving and one touchdown.
