Eagles Place TE Dallas Goedert On IR, Sign Hakeem Butler Off Panthersโ€™ PS

The Philadelphia Eagles announced Tuesday that theyโ€™ve placed TE Dallas Goedert on injured reserve and signed TE Hakeem Butler off of the Panthersโ€™ practice squad.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported earlier in the day that Goedert suffered a left ankle fracture during Sundayโ€™s game. However, his timeline shouldnโ€™t be very long.

Tom Pelissero added that Godertโ€™s ankle fracture is โ€œvery smallโ€ and wonโ€™t require surgery. The expectation is that heโ€™ll miss at least a few weeks.

Goedert, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2018. Heโ€™s currently in the third year of his four-year, $5,624,271 contract and stands to make a base salary of $991,297 for the 2020 season.

Entering todayโ€™s game Goedert has appeared in two games for the Eagles and caught 12 passes for 131 yards receiving and one touchdown.
