ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed G Evan Mathis to a five-year deal worth $25 million and includes $7 million guarantees.
Mathis was said to be considering a decent offer from the Baltimore Ravens but he ultimately chose to return to the Eagles for a decent contract. Last year, he signed a reasonable one-year contract with the team and wound up putting together a great season for the team. In fact, Pro Football Focus rated him as the best guard in the entire NFL for the 2011 season.
