According to Pro Football Talk, the Eagles re-signed restricted free agent QB Nate Sudfeld.
The Eagles had already placed the second-round tender on Sudfeld earlier this offseason, so this just makes it official.
The second-round tender will cost them $3.095 million for the 2019 season.
Sudfeld, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Redskins back in 2016. He signed a four-year, $2.47 million contract with Washington but was cut loose coming out of the 2017 preseason.
Sudfeld signed on with Eagles’ practice squad shortly after and was eventually promoted to the active roster. He was able to stay on Philadelphia’s active roster and was able to earn a backup role.
In 2018, Sudfeld appeared in two games for the Eagles and recorded one completion for 22 yards and a touchdown.
