Eric Edholm of Pro Footbal Weekly writes that the Eaglesย could approach CBย Dominique Rodgers-Cromartieย and WRย ย Jeremy Maclinย about contract extensions that would keep both players in Philadelphia for theย foreseeableย future.
โWe are going to be a draft-and-develop type of team that tries to retain as many of our own players as we can,โ said GM Howie Roseman when asked about the team’s plan for the two players. โWe tried to do that in the offseason with Todd and Evan and DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy, and I think thatโs going to be the model for the foreseeable future.โ
Rodgers-Cromartie deal expires after the season and figures to be one of the best available cornerbacks on the open market. Maclin is under team control ย through next season, so they have some options with him.
We Rodgers-Cromartie is listed as the No. 18 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents List.
