Field Yates of ESPN reported earlier this morning that theย Eagles had signed K Caleb Sturgis toย a one-year, $900,000 extension through 2017.
The Eagles have since confirmed the news:

Sturgis, 27, is a former fifth round pick of the Dolphins back in 2013. He spent two years in Miami before he was among their final roster cuts this past weekend, as they got down to 53 players.
The Eagles signed him t o a contract a few weeks into the 2015 season.
Last Year,ย Sturgisย appeared in 13 games for the Eagles and converted 18 of 22 field goal attempts (81.8 percent) to go along with 35 of 37 extra point tries with 39 touchbacks.
