Thompson, 25, wound up going undrafted out of Utah back in May of 2017. He signed on with the Patriots but spent just a few months in New England before he was waived at the start of the regular season.
Thompson had brief stints with the Bears, Seahawks, Cowboys, Titans, Redskins and Packers before he signed on with the Falcons this past June. Unfortunately, he was waived a few weeks ago.
Thompson actually began his college career as a quarterback at Wyoming before transferring to Utah and converting to defensive back for the 2015 season.
In total, Thompson recorded 21 tackles and a fumble recovery at Utah.
