The Philadelphia Eagles officially waived DT Aziz Shittu from injured reserve on Saturday.
Shittu, 25, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the 2016 season and later re-signed to the Eagles’ practice squad.
Philadelphia brought Shittu back on a futures contract last year, but waived him with an injury designation and he spent the year on injured reserve. The Cowboys signed Shittu to their practice squad at the start of the 2018 regular season before cutting him loose after this year’s draft.
Shittu returned to the Eagles but waived with an injury designation and reverted to their injured reserve list.
During his college career at Stanford, Shittu recorded 77 tackles, 16.5 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks and four pass defenses over the course of 19 games.
