The Philadelphia Eagles announced Saturday that they’ve placed rookie S Stephen Roberts on waivers.
Roberts, 22, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May. He’s currently in the first year of his three-year, $1.71 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season.
During his four-year college career at Auburn, Roberts recorded 136 tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, 12 pass defenses and two forced fumbles over the course of 34 games.
