Eagles Waive S Tre Sullivan & DE Alex McCalister With Injury Settlements

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have waivedย  S Tre Sullivan and DE Alex McCalister from their injured reserve with settlements.

Both players were placed on the team’s injured reserve earlier this week.

McCalister, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Eagles back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.411 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

During his college career at Florida, McCalister recorded 49 tackles, 17.5 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and two pass defenses over the course of 22 games.

Sullivan, 23, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Shepherd back in May. He earnedย first team All-MEC honors in 2015 and 2016.

During his four-year college career at Shepherd, Sullivan appeared in 45 games and recorded 149 total tackles, four tackles for loss, six interceptions, 24 pass defenses, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and scored two defensive touchdowns.
