Field Yates reports that the Eagles officially waived/injured OLB Travis Long after he sustained a season-ending ACL injury on Monday.
Should Long clear waivers, which is very likely, he will revert to the team’s injured reserve list.
Long, 24, signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State back in 2013. He was unfortunately unable to make the team coming out of the preseason, but he was later added to their practice squad.
Philadelphia elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January.
Long has yet to appear in an NFL game.
