Earl Thomas’ Visit With Texans On Hold For Time Being

Josina Anderson is reporting that free agent S Earl Thomas‘ visit with the Texans, which was scheduled for Tuesday, has been put on hold for the time being.

This comes shortly after the news that the Titans and Vikings have shut down their facilities after three players and five coaches from Tennessee tested positive for COVID-19.

The Vikings are scheduled to play the Texans in Week 4, so it’s possible that Houston will wait to see how things play out before working Thomas out.

Yesterday, Adam Schefter reported that Thomas signing with the Texans is more likely than not.”

Houston had previously been tossed out as a potential landing spot for Thomas, along with the Cowboys and 49ers. However, it took some time for him to schedule a workout.

Thomas, 31, is a former first-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2010. He played out the final year of his five-year, $44.725 million contract that includes $27.725 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $8.5 million for the 2018 season.

Thomas later agreed to a four-year, $55 million contract with the Ravens last year that includes $32 million fully guaranteed at signing.

In 2019, Thomas appeared in 15 games for the Ravens and recorded 49 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and four passes defended.
