Extension Talks Between Eagles & TE Dallas Goedert ‘Ongoing’

Eagles TE Dallas Goedert said on Wednesday extension talks between him and the team are “ongoing,” per Jeff McLane.

Goedert is entering the final year of his rookie deal in 2021. He’s shown a lot of promise splitting time with Zach Ertz the past few seasons. 

If, or when, the Eagles trade Ertz, Goedert is poised to take over as the top guy. 

Goedert, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2018. He’s currently entering the fourth year of his four-year, $5,624,271 contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.246 million for the 2021 season.

In 2020, Goedert appeared in 11 games for the Eagles and caught 46 passes for 524 yards and three touchdowns.
