Falcons Signing DE Adrian Clayborn On One-Year, $4M Deal

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the Falcons are bringing back DE Adrian Clayborn

The deal is for one year and $4 million, per Tom Pelissero. Clayborn fills a need at defensive line for the Falcons.

Clayborn, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2011. Tampa Bay declined to exercise his fifth-year option and Clayborn signed with the Falcons on a one-year deal in 2015.

Clayborn re-signed with the Falcons on a two-year, $9 million contract and made a base salary of $3.75 million for the 2017 season.

The Patriots signed him to a two-year, $12 million contract in 2018.

In 2018, Clayborn appeared in 14 games for the Patriots and recorded 11 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 50 edge rusher out of 103 qualifying players.
