Alford was selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft by Atlanta, and has had mixed results in his brief career.
He did however, start every game this year for the Falcons, and his absence will hurt an already struggling defensive backfield.
Pro Football Focus has Alford as the No. 87 cornerback out of 110 eligible players.
Alford has recorded 5 interceptions in his first two seasons, along with a combined 71 tackles.
