According to Ian Rapoport, Falcons DL Michael Bennett is out indefinitely following a broken ankle during the first practice of training camp.
Bennett was re-signed by Atlanta to a futures deal this offseason.
Bennett, 26, is a former sixth-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,418,700 contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Jaguars waived him coming out of the preseason.
The Falcons signed Bennett to a contract in early October but cut him loose after a few weeks to make room for OL Zane Beadles. Atlanta re-signed Bennett to a futures deal for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Bennett appeared in four games for the Falcons, recording five tackles, one tackle for loss and no sacks.
