According to Jason La Canfora, the Falcons will interview Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen for their general manager vacancy.
Schoen just interviewed with the Panthers as of yesterday. The full list of Falcons GM candidates includes:
- Former Texans GM Rick Smith (Interviewed)
- Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes (Interviewed)
- Saints VP/assistant GM-pro personnel Terry Fontenot (Interviewed)
- Falcons director of college scouting Anthony Robinson (Interviewed)
- Colts director of college scouting Morocco Brown (Interviewed)
- Bears assistant director of player personnel Champ Kelly
- Vikings assistant GM George Paton
- Bills assistant GM Joe Schoen (Scheduled)
Schoen originally interned with the Panthers in their ticket office before serving as a scouting assistant in 2001. From there, he was promoted Southeast and Southwest scout before joining the Dolphins as a national scout.
Miami promoted Schoen to director of player personnel in 2014 and he spent four years in the role before the Bills hired him as their assistant GM in 2017.
