The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Edwards, 23, signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Ferris State following the 2020 NFL draft. He was waived coming out of camp and re-signed to the practice squad.
Edwards has bounced on and off the Falcons practice squad so far this season.
In college, Edwards played 30 games and recorded 84 total tackles, four sacks and one pass defense.
